Affectionately known as “The Clocktower of Power”, Crouch End Radio re-launched in November 2019. Founded by former BBC digital producer Brian West and podcaster Georgina Sowerby, the station originally broadcast online from late 2013 to December 2015.
Past presenters and performers include Richard Cray, John Dredge, Deborah Glanville, Carolina Bliss, Johnny Reece and Angela Elliot. The station previously had both PPL and music streaming licenses and was sponsored by local estate agents Greene & Co. It featured extensive coverage of the Crouch End Festival as well as regular local news bulletins throughout the year.
Crouch End Radio is temporarily off air at the moment, but plans to expand its programme offer in 2020. So, we’re on the lookout for local talent – presenters, writers, producers and anyone interested in delivering self-produced local programming. We’re primarily a talk and comedy station so music DJs need not apply.
The music library at Crouch End Radio is licensed by Epidemic Sound.
